American driver Alexander Rossi brought home 12 valuable championship points with his 4th place finish from the opening race of World Series by Renault - FR 3.5 at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain today, elevating him to third place in the Drivers’ Championship.
In the morning track conditions were a little tricky as an incident early into the qualifying session had left oil on the tarmac. In an intensely close fought battle between the top three contenders, and with less than 0.7 seconds spanning their times, Alexander qualified in P3 on a new set of tyres with a time of 1:33.048 to sit on the second row of the grid for the afternoon’s race.

For the season finale of the 2011 World Series by Renault season, American driver Alexander Rossi heads to the spectacular city of Barcelona in southern Spain this week. He sits in fourth place in the Formula Renault 3.5 Championship with 138 points, while his Fortec Motorsports team are in second position in the Teams competition with 185 points.
Following a faultless win by Alexander at Paul Ricard last month, and despite the team losing its appeal against both Fortec drivers exclusion from race two at Silverstone where Alexander finished in second place, he remains in a strong position to contend a top three finish in this years Formula Renault 3.5 title fight.

Hingham, UK - 27th September 2011- Team Lotus has today confirmed that Alexander Rossi, lead driver in the AirAsia Team Lotus Driver Development Programme and one of the standout race-winning performers in the 2011 World Series by Renault, will be taking part in the upcoming GP2 tests in Jerez and Barcelona with the Formula One team’s GP2 counterparts Caterham Team AirAsia. Fortec Motorsports FR 3.5 driver, Alexander Rossi stormed to victory after a dominating performance in race two at Paul Ricard, Le Castellet, France for round eight of the World Series by Renault FR3.5 championship this afternoon.
Following a ‘tricky’ and wet qualifying session this morning where Alexander found it difficult to extract the best out of the car in qualifying, he still managed to set a lap time that put him on the front row of the race grid in P2.

On the penultimate weekend of the 2011 World Series by Renault season, American driver Alexander Rossi fought to keep his car hampered by debris and rapidly degrading tyres on track for the whole of race one at the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track (HTTT) in the south of France today.

Hi all,
I just finished touring the Renault F1 factory with a group of fellow WSR drivers and during our time there, we worked on some media training and fitness, which was good fun. It’s always a pleasure to be able to spend time with and work with the drivers outside of the race environment as you get to know each of them on a personal level and well, we definitely had some good laughs. Jean-Eric Vergne and I had a sauna competition, which then led into discovering new, but fairly less practical uses for croquet bats and balls. While this was all good fun, it was also fantastic to be able to witness a factory of that caliber working flat out in preparation of the final run in the F1 season.

Formula Renault Series 3.5 leading rookie Alexander Rossi achieved his sixth podium finish of the season today when he brought his Fortec Motorsports car home in second position in race two at Silverstone, UK.

American driver Alexander Rossi brought home 15 valuable championship points with his 3rd place finish from the opening race of World Series by Renault at Silverstone circuit, UK today.
In the glorious morning sunshine Rossi was straight on the pace and set a time that shot him to P2 on to the time sheets immediately as qualifying commenced. In an intensely close fought battle for pole position with Robert Wickens, Rossi’s No: 7 Fortec Motorsports car was handling well, but even faultless laps set by Alexander could not help him to improve on his time of 1:45.410.
